Service Boot Camp

Compass Team - SMF Winning sports teams have at least one common denominator; they’ve mastered the fundamentals and can execute these skills on the playing field.

Winning sports teams have at least one common denominator; they’ve mastered the fundamentals and can execute these skills on the playing field. This is true for both the players and the coaches. Service Boot Camp approaches service training the same way by teaching advisors how to master the skills necessary to excel and managers how to coach and sustain those skills.


Service Boot Camp is divided into three full days of classroom training and intensive role-play allowing participants to practice their skills:

  • Day 1 – Improving communication skills, building rapport, how to perform a genuine greeting and how to accurately identify the customers service needs.

  • Day 2 – Mastering the sales skills necessary to professionally address the customer’s primary needs, sell additional services based on a credible multipoint inspection and scheduled maintenance, and to understand how timing is critical to success.

  • Day 3 – Conducting an Active Service Delivery the importance of follow up and understanding the difference between customer loyalty and customer advocates.

Managers attend a pre-training session before each training day to overview the class agenda and objectives and how to coach and sustain performance. After each class participants and managers receive action plans and DVD’s of the role-play videos to be used as in-dealership training tools.
